I. Who is responsible for the content and maintenance of the website and who takes care of data protection?

II. In what form is personal data processed?
1. provision of the website and creation of log files
When you visit our website, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file.
a) Data categories
The following information is collected without any action on your part and stored until it is automatically deleted:
- IP address of the requesting computer
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the retrieved file
- Website from which the access is made (referrer URL)

b) Purpose of processing
We process the aforementioned data for the following purposes:
- Ensuring a smooth connection to the website
- Ensuring a comfortable use of our website
- Evaluation of system security and stability and for other administrative purposes
The operation of the website serves the public relations work of the foundation.
c) Legal basis
The legal basis for data processing is the protection of legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e GDPR in conjunction with Section 3 BDSG. The provision of the website is part of our public relations work.
d) Categories of recipients
Our website is hosted on a server of the company Raidboxes. The web agency Goldener Westen GmbH, which is responsible for maintenance and support, also has access to the above-mentioned data.
The Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz has carefully selected the agency Goldener Westen GmbH and the server operator Raidboxes. Goldener Westen GmbH and Raidboxes are bound by the instructions of the Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz and are regularly monitored.
e) Storage period
Raidboxes stores the data for the following periods:
The anonymised IP addresses are stored for seven weeks.
Error logs, which record incorrect page views, are deleted after seven days. In addition to the error messages, these contain the accessing IP address and, depending on the error, the website accessed.
Access via FTP is logged anonymously and stored for seven weeks.
2. cookies
Cookies are used on this website. These are small text packages that can be sent from a website to the browser, which stores them and sends them back.

We also use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimising our offer for you. These cookies enable us to automatically recognise that you have already visited our website when you visit it again. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period of time.
c) Legal basis
Technically necessary cookies are processed in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e GDPR in conjunction with § 3 BDSG. All other cookies are processed exclusively with your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
d) Categories of recipients
The Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz uses the usage analysis software Matomo, which is recommended by data protection experts, for web analysis. The processing of users' personal data enables us to analyse the surfing behaviour of our users. By analysing the data obtained, we are able to compile information about the use of the individual components of our website. This helps us to constantly improve our website and its user-friendliness. By automatically anonymising the IP addresses, the data collected can no longer be assigned to specific persons. This prevents usage data or usage profiles from being associated with personal data. The software runs exclusively on the servers of our service provider. Users' personal data is only stored there. The data is not passed on to third parties.
e) Storage period
The technically necessary cookies are usually deleted when the browser is closed.
In addition, web analysis cookies or a Matomo deactivation cookie are stored on your computer. These are so-called persistent cookies, which are automatically deleted after two years. You can also delete these cookies yourself at any time in the security settings of your browser.
f) Right of cancellation
If you have consented to the statistical analysis of your cookies on the homepage, you can revoke your consent at any time by clicking the „I decline“ button.
3. contact, subscriptions
a) Purpose of processing
We process your personal data that you provide to us by e-mail or other means (in the course of fast and cost-effective communication) to answer and fulfil your enquiries and your order.
b) Legal bases
If you have given us your express consent to process your data, Art. 6 para. a GDPR is the legal basis for this processing.
If we process your data to carry out pre-contractual measures, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR is the legal basis.
In all other cases, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e GDPR in conjunction with Section 3 BDSG is the legal basis. In such cases, data processing is necessary for public relations work.
c) Storage period
The personal data will be deleted as soon as it is clear that it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected.
4. vimeo
The SPK Vimeo channel is operated by Vimeo Inc. (Vimeo, Inc. 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011).
The data is collected without SPK being aware of it and without SPK being able to influence it. The following user data is collected by vimeo:
- Profile information
- Transactions: Payment method,
- Content: video, text, image etc. along with information and metadata; communication, interaction with third-party users
- Technical data and information in the course of vimeo support: IP address, device information, search history, cookies
- Third-party information: transaction data, data from analysis tools
- Details on the handling of user data can be found in Vimeo's privacy policy.
5. pictures and and videos of people on the website
People may be recognisable in images or videos on our website. In this case, the processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e GDPR in conjunction with § 3 BDSG. If you are affected, you have the right to object to this use.
III. What rights do users of our website have?
You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- the right to information (Art. 15 GDPR),
- the right to rectification and erasure (Art. 16 and 17 GDPR),
- the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- the right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR),
- the right to data portability (Art. 20).
You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us (Art. 77 GDPR). The Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI) is responsible for the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation.
IV. Amendment of the privacy policy
The Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz reserves the right to adapt the privacy policy in line with technical developments and changes in the legal framework. You will find the current version of this data protection declaration at the end of the declaration.
