Provenance Research Day 2026: Who were Julius and Johanna Wollf and what traces did they leave behind in Dresden?
In this 90-minute walk through the city, we invite you to remember the life of the Jewish publisher and collector Julius Ferdinand Wollf and his wife Johanna.
He shaped the social and cultural life of Dresden for over 30 years. Together with Karl-August Lingner, he was involved in the founding of the German Hygiene Museum. After the National Socialists came to power, he was removed from the management of the DNN and his numerous public offices because he was Jewish. After her suicide, the National Socialists confiscated the couple's property.
Starting from her former home on Franz-Liszt-Straße, the route takes us through the Großer Garten to the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum and finally ends at the Gläserne Manufaktur.
Historical photographs, illustrations from the collection and small interactive elements bring the couple's story to life.
Meeting point: Dresden, stop Querallee 1 am Großen Garten, end of stop Straßburgerplatz
