Time Travel Textbook – Jewish Childhoods before and during the Nazi Era in Dresden

Project day on 9 November at the SLUB Dresden

Using a doodle in a school textbook, discovered in the SLUB Dresden, we reconstruct the story of Max Geyer from Dresden. For the day of remembrance on 9 November, we ask what it meant for Jewish children and young people to grow up in Dresden before and during the Nazi era. Source analysis meets creativity: Max Geyer marked his book – did you mark yours too? We will design our own exlibris together using lino printing.

Please bring along: old clothes that can get stained and your favourite book!

Please note that the workshop will take place at the SLUB Dresden.
