In the final meeting, we will once again look at possible synergy effects between mediation and provenance research, broadening the historical frame of reference. Dr. Sven Haase, provenance researcher at the Central Archive of the Stiftung Preu\u00dfischer Kulturbesitz, and Dr. Patrick Helber, curator for education and mediation at the Humboldt Forum, will report on their research and mediation projects dealing with the interfaces of the Nazi era and colonialism.
\nFollowing this, they will discuss the differences and similarities between provenance research and mediation from a transhistorical perspective. How can a fruitful interweaving be achieved in the respective disciplines? What should be taken into account? What can be learned for the public debate from the discussions surrounding colonial looted art? What mistakes should not be repeated? What differences exist between the historical contexts, and how can or should these be considered in a democracy-promoting way?<\/p>\n
