Heinrich Himmler

Heinrich Himmler (1900-1945) is considered the second most powerful man in National Socialism after Hitler. He was Reichsführer of the SS and, as head of the German police, controlled the persecution apparatus of the Nazi state. During the Second World War, he was Minister of the Interior. He was the highest-ranking Nazi official responsible for the „Final Solution“, the plan to murder the Jews of Europe.
